Well we have been super busy getting used to having our daughter and my crazy work schedule. My father and I had spring turkey tags and with a little luck we were able to get out and chase some birds. We had awesome weather and no pressure from other hunters, just couldn't seal the deal. Here is a short clip of a bird I called in on opening morning. Before my father could get up ahead of me to set up on this bird, I turned the bird he and he was coming fast!! He then held up at 80 yards and strutted around for us for thirty minutes. He had a better position on us and we were stuck behind the log we are sitting behind. It was still worth it to see these beautiful creatures doing their thing in the woods! This is why I love to hunt, even though we didn't harvest a bird we still had a great time in the woods!!
