Summer Bow fishing and night fishing!!!!

With summer around the corner and me and Britt not able to make it our shed hunting this year with everything we have going on, we look forward to the summer fishing! This past year we got into chasing stripers at night at lake pleasant. We made several trips in the hottest parts of the summer and it was awesome! Summer nights in Arizona on a lake are amazing, watching the lightning in the distance and not to mention the fishing can be so fun. Here are some pictures from one of our outings last year, non stop action from around 11pm to 5am. We were setting up on shelves that would range from 50 ft to 90 ft of water and drop a anchovy to the bottom and crank 5-10 reels. This would set the bait about 10 ft off the bottom and almost immediately feel hits. Between catfish and the stripers we were kept busy all night! Perfect fun for kids or just a nice relaxing night on the lake!

We also love to go bow fishing for talapia! During the hottest parts of May through July you can find these big things up in the shallows. They are awesome to eat and even more fun to pursue. Their eye sight is amazing and with a bow in your hand wading through the water chasing them is another thing we love to do in the summer. They really make you stalk in on them and be patient for them to slowly come back, plus if they see you draw the take off so its a great way to work on some skills in the off season.
