Its been Awhile

     Well I have sure slacked on posting up our stories this year, it seems the year has flown by and here we sit at the end of most of the seasons with our second child on the way. 2013 has been an amazing year, after typing that I don't know where to start.... I guess ill start at the beginning.

     I was fortunate to tag along with good friend Jimmy and his father in law on his rifle antelope hunt in Northern Arizona. Opening day we looked at several bucks that we knew would not fit well with Delvins tag. All morning we drove and hiked through the areas they had scouted looking for a buck worthy of his tag and not till late in the afternoon we glassed up a buck a mile or so away. We could tell from the distance we were at this was a buck that needed closer look. We closed the distance down to 500 yards and confirmed this unique buck was one Delvin would like to try and take. Delvin, Jimmy and I closed the gap to 300 yards and re located the buck and his three does. 45 minutes later the buck stood up and started to walk off as we thought he might go water. Delvin settled in on the tri clawps system and range the buck at 320 using his Burris Eliminator II. One shot is all it took and Delvins years of waiting for his tag was all over, the buck dropped in his tracks. Delvins buck has two small prongs on one side and though he was shorter then we thought his mass helped out making him score 79.
